Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 May 2026
A note before the rules
This policy exists for two reasons. The first is legal: the European General Data Protection Regulation requires that we tell you, in plain language, what we do with your data. The second is principle. We hold ourselves to the standard the law sets, and to one we set for ourselves — that your information is yours, that we have asked for as little of it as possible, and that we treat what little we hold accordingly.
The shortest version of this document: we collect your email address only when you choose to give it to us, we use it only to write to you, and we keep it where we, alone, can reach it.
Who we are
For the purposes of this policy, we refers to Antemurale Europae, a heritage apparel brand operating from within the European Union. You can reach us at privacy@antemurale.eu at any time, for any reason related to your data.
A formal trade-license registration is in progress. This policy will be updated with the registered entity details once that process is complete.
What we collect
When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect:
- Your email address.
- The timestamp at which you confirmed your subscription.
- Your subscription status (subscribed, unsubscribed).
We do not collect names, addresses, payment information, browsing history, location data, or anything else. We do not place cookies on your device. We do not use third-party trackers, analytics with cookies, advertising pixels, or fingerprinting on this website.
Why we collect it
Solely so that we can reach you.
Antemurale Europae communicates primarily through platforms we do not own — social media today, our store and other channels in time. Those platforms are not under our control. They can suspend, restrict, or quietly decline to surface our voice at any moment, for reasons of their own and without notice. We have seen this happen often enough across the brand landscape to believe it is worth saying plainly: an email list is the only communication channel that does not depend on another party's continued willingness to host us.
Your email is, for us, the assurance that we can speak to you about what is to come and what is happening now — directly, without intermediaries, regardless of what algorithms or platform owners decide tomorrow. We use it for nothing else.
Where your data lives
This is where we go further than the law requires.
Your email is stored on a server we own and operate directly, located in Frankfurt, Germany. We do not use a third-party email-marketing platform that holds your data on its own infrastructure. The mailing software is open-source, the database lives on our hardware, and the server is administered by us. The infrastructure provider is Hostinger; they host the machine but do not access its database in normal operation.
When we send you an email, the message is delivered through Resend, a transactional email service. Resend handles delivery to your inbox and processes messages in transit but does not retain a copy of our subscriber list. Resend's own privacy practices are documented at resend.com/privacy.
Our public website is hosted by Vercel. The newsletter signup form on that website transmits your email to our own server; Vercel does not receive or store it.
We have made these choices deliberately. We did not want to rent the right to communicate with our audience from a platform that could change its terms or be acquired tomorrow. Sovereignty over communication is a brand value, not just an operational preference.
How long we keep it
We keep your email until you unsubscribe.
Every email we send contains a one-click unsubscribe link. The moment you use it, your record is removed from our active list. We do not maintain a "win-back" list, share or sell unsubscribed addresses, or retain data after a deletion request.
Who else has access
Within the technical pipeline that lets us write to you:
- Resend sees your email address and message content for the seconds required to deliver each message.
- Hostinger hosts the server but does not access the database in the course of normal operation.
- Vercel hosts our website but never receives your email — the form transmits directly to our own server.
We do not sell, share, lease, or transfer your data to advertisers, partners, or any third party for any commercial purpose. There is no scenario, present or contemplated, in which we do.
Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Know what information we hold about you
- Correct it if anything is inaccurate
- Receive a copy of it in a machine-readable format
- Delete it ("right to be forgotten")
- Object to our use of it
- Withdraw your consent at any time, with no reason required
To exercise any of these rights, write to privacy@antemurale.eu from the email address on record. We will respond within 30 days, at no cost to you.
If you feel we have failed in our handling of your data, you have the right to file a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů — uoou.cz), the supervisory authority for our jurisdiction.
Cookies, tracking and analytics
This website does not use cookies. It does not run third-party advertising trackers, marketing pixels, or fingerprinting scripts.
We use Umami, a privacy-respecting analytics tool, self-hosted on the same server we own and operate. It records aggregate usage information — page visits, referring sources, browser type, and approximate country (derived from your IP address but not stored) — without setting cookies, without retaining IP addresses, without fingerprinting, and without identifying you personally. The data does not leave our infrastructure and is not shared with anyone.
Still, if you would rather not let us know of your visit to our website, most ad-blockers and tracking-protection features in modern browsers will block the script automatically.
International transfers
Our infrastructure operates within the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany). Our delivery partner Resend is based in the United States and certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; emails routed through their service are covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission.
Updates
We will update this policy if our practices change. The "last updated" date at the top reflects any revision. Material changes will be communicated to subscribers by email before they take effect.
